My name is Sam and like most recruiters I fell into recruitment quite by accident. Having worked in London, Dublin and Glasgow, I have worked with lots of different people! I have (on time of writing this) been doing this for over 3 years and it’s been a rollercoaster. Recruitment is often seen as an easy job, but it is a sales job first and foremost. But unlike most sales jobs, your product (candidates) can change their minds (breaks my heart). But it is also one of the most satisfying things in the world to really make a difference.
You can help companies grow through crucial hires and you can really make a difference to people’s lives. Due to the fields I have worked in; Architecture, IT, Science and Pharmaceutical, I can see a real difference in the successful placements I have made.
I have done most recruitment styles and I decided to do this blog to share some of my experiences with you. Some good and some bad. You may find that you are in a situation and that I have written something on the topic. It may be the little nudge you need to decide one way or the other.
